In a previous rebrand, Nonprofit Finance Fund chose to use graphics to represent their services. With an increasing focus on its tailored, relational approach and dedication to social justice, the Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) found itself in need of quality photography that represented its breadth of clientele and work in community.

I managed relationships with and photographed NFF clients across New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, capturing the work of organizations in community. This included a human services organization operating a food pantry in Queens, human services and economic development nonprofits in the Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia, a convening of Black nonprofit executives, and a community safety meeting in the Vailsburg section of Newark, NJ.

The goal throughout the project was to capture participants’ humanity as they practiced life-changing work in their communities.
